“Not really a hike … just for the training.”
Lionel talked me into an early morning trail hike.
“Start slowly or you will kill your legs.”
Not about to argue with that! The aim was 40mins to get to the top of this hill. Made it. Very grateful for the switchbacks in the trail and tips from Lionel on how to improve my use of the walking poles to save some energy. Tip for the day… always take local advice. So glad I listened, my legs came out of it alive.
Today was a running around kind of day, so we only fitted in this “training hike”. Big hike planned for tomorrow so I’m grateful for the rest day as my friend jet lag came back to visit today.
Lets see how the legs hold out tomorrow…
